More details:
The Bayo Non-Potable Booster Rehabilitation Project: The Bayo Booster Station, located by the composting facility, pumps treated wastewater from the Los Alamos Wastewater Treatment Plant to a tank near the Los Alamos Middle School. The booster station has been in service for 31 years and the proposed expenditures would replace electric gears, valves, and miscellaneous mechanical items.
The county is seeking to increase an existing loan subsidy grant agreement for $700,000 from the New Mexico Environment Department Clean Water State Revolving Loan Program. The Board of Public Utilities affirmed the ordinance during its May 7 work session and recommended that the council adopt the ordinance.
Increased PERA contributions: Under the Public Employees Retirement Association retirement plan, sometime, municipal employers pay a portion of employee contributions. The amount is called a “pick-up.” The council will consider a resolution to increase its pick-up for PERA contributions to 5.42% for members covered under a collective bargaining agreement with the Los Alamos Firefighters’ Association, IAFF Local 3279.
Mark your calendars and stay informed!
