LAPS solicits community feedback for Thursday's School Board annual evaluation
District superintendent Jennifer Guy yesterday published a survey link inviting students, parents, staff, and the community at large to submit feedback to the Los Alamos Public School Board “on what is working well and what [respondents] value, as well as opportunities for improvement.”
This survey comes in anticipation of this Thursday’s School Board “Summer Retreat and Work Session,” during which the Board will undertake its annual “self-evaluation of its functioning and performance” as required by LAPS District Policy 8330.
Board members will be discussing the evaluation topics specified in policy 8330, as well as community feedback obtained through this survey. The policy also states that “members of the public may make comments during the discussion.”
The three-question survey can be found here.
The agenda for the meeting also states that the Board be reviewing and discussing the 2024-2027 Los Alamos Public School Strategic Plan.
Public comment can be submitted to the district by e-mailing: public.comments@laschools.net, before 3PM on the date of the meeting.
The entire meeting is open to the public, and will be held at 5:30 pm at the LAPS Board Room, 2101 Trinity Drive Suite V, in Los Alamos. The meeting will also be streamed at the Zoom link here.
