Seven months of Boomtown!
Dear Boomtown Community,
June 16th marked seven months since we launched Boomtown. How time does fly! We continue to be amazed at the response and support from our membership. Thank you for being a part of our efforts to build a stronger and more informed community through independent journalism by and for Los Alamos residents.
As of today, we’re nearly up to 700 members! We’ve noticed that it’s getting harder for us to go into town these days without someone stopping and telling us how Boomtown is making a difference in Los Alamos. We’re entirely supported by readers, and we'd love it if you continue to share Boomtown with your friends, colleagues, and neighbors.
We've been hard at work on a number of projects, so keep an eye on your inbox over the next month for stories on Los Alamos’s latest efforts to revitalize downtown, an interesting project by Los Alamos Public Schools, and a new in-depth series on substance use in Los Alamos.
With help from our local friends at Beehaus, we've also (with some trepidation) ventured into social media. You can now find us on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Nextdoor.
That said, the best way to make sure you see our stories as soon as they are published is to sign up for our e-mail list. (We won’t share or sell your information with anyone, promise!)
And lastly, this Boomtown in the Wild (BitW) photo courtesy of the Los Alamos Hillstompers at the recent Los Alamos Pride Festival:
Send your thoughts, feedback, and BitW photos to editors@boomtownlosalamos.org.
Thanks again for all of your support!
