I Can Help Program
Los Alamos County Social Services Division, LA Cares, Self-Help Inc., and numerous other organizations are collaborating to provide food assistance to community members in need. Food donations accepted through November 6th — see here for specific needs and locations. Financial contributions to support these efforts can be made at LA Cares or Self Help.
One-Day Library Closure
The Mesa Public Library and White Rock Branch Library will be closed for staff development on Friday, November 7.
The Way of Art New Mexico Veterans Create
All month long at the Step Up Gallery at Mesa Public Library.

The County Inclusivity Task Force invites community members to give their input on accessibility of county programs, facilities, and open spaces through this brief survey.
Medical Alert Program
If you or a loved one rely on electrically powered, life-sustaining medical equipment, register here for the Department of Public Utilities Medical Alert Program to receive special notification when planned power outages will occur.

Parent Night Out Child Care — Food Bank Edition

Los Alamos STEAM Lab
Date night child care provided from 3 pm to 8:30 pm. Donations accepted and all profits will go to LA Cares to help with increased demand for food assistance.

Diwali Celebration
4 pm to 10 pm
Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church
Celebrate the Hindu festival of lights with this family friendly event that includes Indian food, fireworks, and performances. Tickets are $40 for adults, $25 for ages 6 to 12, and free for those under 6.

The VFW 8874, American Legion Post 90, LAHS NJROTC, and others will host a free Veterans Day event at Ashley Pond, with food available at the VFW following the ceremony.
